Stella Alesi (Plainview New York, 1963) is a painter and sculptor. Raised in New Jersey outside of New York. Studied in Paris, Los Angeles, New York. BA New Hampshire, Durham, 1986. MFA University of Massachusetts in Amherst, 1991. Moved to Austin, Texas, 1993. First solo exhibition in Austin, 1996. Alesi dedicated themself to art full time in 2011. Alesi’s wall painting and a monumentally scaled relief work are installed in the lobby of the Foundry building on Austin’s East Side, 2019.

Alesi first showed at Northern-Southern in 2015. They will show new tabletop sculptures this September. CITIZENS opens September 6.
