L. Renée Núñez at NADA New York, 2025

Born in Texas, Indigenous and Mexican American artist L. Renée Núñez lives and works on the Edwards Plateau near Balcones Canyonlands Preserve. Her art, painting and installation, is of and from the land of the Edwards Plateau, Southern Mexico, and the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. Núñez has a BA in Studio Art from the University of Texas. Previous, Núñez’s danced with the Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company.

In 2021 Núñez was awarded the first Desert Door Residency grant for her installation and performance work in Austin. Núñez first showed her un-stretched paintings with Northern-Southern at INTERDEPENDENCE, 2024.

Núñez had a solo booth at NADA New York 2025 as a Curated Spotlight selection. She will have her first solo show at Northern–Southern, May 2026.
